The seven-seat Mercedes-Benz EQV electric people mover is now on sale in Australia. Pricing starts at $155,338 before on-roads.
Ordering for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQV electric people mover has now opened, with a company spokesperson confirming there’s a stock pool for dealers to draw from so “customer deliveries can begin straight away”.
The EQV starts at $155,338 before on-road costs and is only available in a single specification locally. This is $39,221 more expensive than the eight-seat eVito Tourer.
Based on the V-Class people mover, the EQV is powered by a single, front-mounted electric motor producing 150kW of power and 365Nm of torque, mated to a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Mercedes-Benz claims the EQV has a range of up to 418km according to lenient NEDC testing.
The EQV has seven seats as standard, with two seats up front, two captain seats in the second row, and a three-person bench in the rear.
It can be specified with four individual leather armchairs in the rear for no cost though, which makes the total seating capacity six.
Owners of the EQV receive a 12 month complimentary Chargefox subscription which allows for unlimited charging at all Chargefox rapid and ultra-rapid stations around Australia.
“For large families or transfer operators, the EQV offers all the space and practicality they need, but with less impact on the environment, the potential to lower running costs and no compromise on luxury,” said Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia and New Zealand managing director Diane Tarr.
“This means that it offers all of the typical qualities of the brand and category that our customers expect, whether as a family car or a shuttle vehicle.”
Pricing is before on-road costs, but includes luxury car tax.

Mercedes-Benz claims the EQV can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 12.1 seconds, and flat out you’ll be doing 140km/h.
There are four driving modes – E+, E, C and S – which can be selected using a switch on the centre console, along with five recuperation levels – D–, D-, D, D+ and DAUTO – which can be selected using the paddle shifters.
The DAUTO mode automatically adjusts the regenerative braking using the radar sensor.
Mercedes-Benz claims the EQV has a range of up to 418km according to lenient NEDC testing, with an energy consumption of 26.32kWh/100km.
The EQV has a maximum DC charging rate of up to 110kW, with maximum AC charging being 11kW.
Charging from 10 per cent to 80 per cent at a DC rapid charger in around 45 minutes, whereas at an 11kW wallbox charging from 0-100 per cent would take around 10 hours.
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQV measures in at 5140mm long, 2249mm wide, and 1901mm tall, with a 3200mm wheelbase.
Boot capacity with all of the seats upright is 1030L. Maximum boot capacity is 4630L, with a maximum loading space length of 2653mm, maximum loading space width of 1552mm, and maximum loading space height of 1326mm.
Payload for the EQV is 598kg and gross vehicle mass (GVM) is 3500kg.
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQV is covered by a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty for private use (five-year, 250,000km for commercial use), as well as an eight-year, 160,000km warranty for the high-voltage battery.
Servicing is required every 12 months or 40,000km, whichever comes first. Mercedes-Benz offers a three, four, and five service package priced at $1252, $1959, and $2149, respectively.
Included with the purchase of the EQV is a one-year complimentary Chargefox subscription which allows for unlimited charging at all Chargefox rapid and ultra-rapid stations around Australia.
The Mercedes-Benz EQV hasn’t been tested by ANCAP or EuroNCAP, and therefore doesn’t have a safety rating.
