The updated Alfa Romeo Giulia arrives in Australian dealerships in June, priced from $68,450 before on-road costs.
Pricing and specifications for the flagship twin-turbo V6 Quadrifoglio will be revealed later, ahead of a launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
Cosmetic changes for the Giulia include matrix LED headlights, a new grille, and darkened tail lights, while inside there’s a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The local range has been reshuffled again. After dropping the base Sport for 2022, leaving just the Veloce and Quadrifoglio, Alfa Romeo Australia has added a new base model.
Called the Ti, it brings the base price back below the $70,000 mark, though it’s $4500 pricier than the old Sport.
The Veloce also gains as standard some features, like a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, that were previously included in an optional Lusso pack.
However, adaptive suspension remains off the menu for the core Giulia range, having been removed from the Veloce for 2022.
Pricing is unchanged from 2022 for the Veloce, at $74,950 before on-road costs.
All prices exclude on-road costs.
The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti and Veloce are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 206kW of power and 400Nm, mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Both models are rear-wheel drive, and have a claimed 0-100km/h time of 5.7 seconds.
The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti and Veloce use a claimed 6.1L/100km on the combined cycle, and require 95 RON premium unleaded fuel.
The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti and Veloce measure 4643mm long, 1860mm wide, 1436mm tall and ride on a 2820mm wheelbase.
There’s 480L of cargo space.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia range is backed by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km.
The first five services are capped at $345, $645, $465, $1065 and $345, respectively.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia had a five-star rating from ANCAP, however it is no longer valid.
Standard safety equipment across the range includes:
The combination of those last four features gives the Giulia Level 2 autonomous driving capability.
The 2023 Giulia range is launching first in two trim levels.
The Ti comes standard with the following equipment:
The Veloce adds:
A panoramic sunroof is a $2700 option on both the Ti and Veloce.
