The 2022 Mazda CX-30 has received a small price hike, as well as a new mild-hybrid option and a sporty-looking Touring SP.
UPDATE, 09/05/2022 – Mazda Australia increased the before on-road asking price for CX-30 models by $200 as part of a range-wide price increase in April 2022.
A Mazda Australia spokesperson said this price increase is due to supply chain constraints, as well as production costs. There have been no specification changes.
The Mazda CX-30 range now starts at $29,590 before on-road costs for the G20 Pure manual, and extends to $47,690 before on-road costs for the X20 Astina M Hybrid AWD.
Prices were first increased by between $200 and $300 on most variants in November 2021, and again by $100 in February 2022.
The new G20 Evolve M Hybrid brings yet another 24V mild-hybrid offering to the CX-30 range.
The G20e’s powertrain is also used in the related MX-30, where it’s claimed to improve efficiency and smoothen the idle stop/start experience.
Another new grade in the form of the Touring SP joins the range and is available in G20, G25 and G25 AWD guises.
Over the Touring, it gains burgundy leather upholstery and black-finish 18-inch alloy wheels.
Elsewhere in the range, the entry-level G20 Pure now gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift, while the G20 Astina picks up an electric tilt-and-slide sunroof.
A new Platinum Quartz grey exterior finish is now available on all grade, while the Pure White leather option has been extended to all exterior colours on the G20 and G25 Astina variants.
The Mazda CX-30 was the third best-selling small SUV from January to October 2021 with 11,329 examples sold. It was outsold only by the Mitsubishi ASX (12,087) and the MG ZS (14,867).
