Every variant of the 2022 Haval H6 mid-sized SUV has received a price rise of $1000, with prices now starting at $32,990 drive-away for the entry-level H6 Premium.
The current generation was launched in 2021 with a starting price of $30,990 drive-away.
UPDATE, 04/04/22 – GWM Haval Australia has increased the pricing of its H6 range by another $1000 due to “external cost pressures that include shipping and supply”. Pricing now starts at $33,990 drive-away.
The GWM Ute and Haval Jolion also received $1000 price rises at the same time.
UPDATE, 17/03/22 – All petrol variants of the Haval H6 have been awarded a five-star ANCAP safety rating against the safety authority’s latest 2020-2022 criteria. The soon-to-be released H6 Hybrid remains unrated for now.
Prices of all-wheel drive H6 models have also been increased by a further $1000. The H6 Ultra AWD, for example, now costs $41,990 drive-away – up $3000 on its launch price.
The GWM Ute and Haval Jolion have also experienced recent price hikes; Great Wall Haval Australia says the price change is down to supply chain and shipping pressures. Specifications for the Haval H6 haven’t changed for 2022.
The H6 sits behind the Jolion and GWM Ute on the sales charts, with 3635 sales in 2021.
It’s outsold by the Toyota RAV4 (35,751 sales), Mazda CX-5 (24,968 sales), Nissan X-Trail (13,860 sales), Hyundai Tucson (14,194 sales), and Mitsubishi Outlander (14,572 sales).
A Toyota RAV4-rivalling hybrid version of the H6 is confirmed for an early 2022 launch in Australia.
This hybrid H6 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a two-speed electric motor and 1.8kWh battery pack. Haval claims a total system output of 179kW of power and 530Nm.
