2022 Ford Everest: Full pricing revealed

Ford Australia has announced pricing for its new-generation Everest ute-based SUV ahead of its August 2022 launch.

It’s available in four different specification levels, and Ford has also published a full list of options and accessories and their respective pricing, which you can view below.

The 2022 Ford Everest range starts at $52,990 before on-road costs for the Ambiente 4×2 five-seater and extends to $77,690 before on-road costs for the turbo-diesel V6-equipped Platinum 4×4.

Where like-for-like comparisons are possible, list pricing between the old- and new-generation Everest models has increased by between $2900 and $3200.

The 2022 Everest range comprises Ambiente, Trend, Sport and Platinum specification grades, and offers two engine choices available exclusively with a 10-speed automatic transmissions.

The headline act is Ford’s 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 engine producing 184kW of power and 600Nm of torque, which is available exclusively in the Sport and Platinum.

For context, the V6 turbo-diesel-equipped Everest produces 170Nm more torque than the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, 150Nm more than the Isuzu MU-X, and 100Nm more than the Toyota Fortuner and top-selling Prado.

A revised 2.0-litre bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine produces 154kW (down 3kW) and a familiar 500Nm, and is available exclusively in the Ambiente and Trend.

The old 3.2-litre turbo-diesel five-cylinder engine is no longer available.

Ford says the Everest’s updated T6 architecture supports electrification, but it has yet to confirm a plug-in hybrid Everest.

The Australian-developed and Thai-sourced Everest, unlike the Ranger, is only available with a full-time on-demand four-wheel drive system with a two-speed electromechanical transfer case.

It also has selectable drive modes, an available integrated trailer braking controller and more interior technology.

The company has previously confirmed the new-generation Everest has a maximum braked towing capacity of 3500kg across the entire range. Payload is up to 741kg, gross vehicle mass (GVM) is up to 3150kg, and gross combination mass (GCM) is 6250kg across the entire range.

All variants of the Everest are available with seven seats. The third row is optional on the entry-level Ambiente and standard across the rest of the range.
