One the lynchpins of the local Nissan range, the new X-Trail will make its global debut next week, but probably won't arrive Down Under until next year.
The new Nissan X-Trail — sold in the States as the Rogue — will be unveiled at an online event on the morning of June 15, US time.
To accompany the car’s launch confirmation, Nissan published a photo showing off the car’s front and side.
As we can see here, the brochure and patent leaks were right on the money.
Up front the fourth-generation X-Trail features a split headlight treatment, as well as a larger and assertive take on the company’s V-motion grille.
Blacked out A-pillar trim will give the X-Trail a floating roof look, while the crisper detailing throughout should lend the new car a more positive stance on the road.
On the inside leaked photographs have revealed the new X-Trail will have a much more upscale cabin including the company’s latest infotainment system, quilted leather seats and a digital instrumentation cluster.
There’s talk of new engines, at least for Europe and the States, including a 140kW 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine lifted from the latest Altima sedan.
The new Rogue is expected to go on sale Stateside during the third quarter of this year. Local timing has yet to be confirmed, but early 2021 seems likely.
