The current Nissan Qashqai is slightly more expensive for its swan-song year.
From 1 April 2021, each Qashqai model is $300 pricier than before.
A spokesperson from Nissan Australia has confirmed specification remains the same and the price increases are due to external factors.
Ti
A new generation of Qashqai was revealed earlier this year, however it isn’t due in Australia until 2022.
It’ll be the first generation of Nissan’s small SUV to offer the company’s new e-Power drivetrain, and we expect this variant to be offered in Australia.
It blends an electric motor making 140kW and 330Nm with a 1.5-litre petrol engine making 115kW, though the petrol engine is only used as a generator for the battery pack.
Although it was released back in 2014, the current Qashqai has remained a strong seller for the brand locally. Through April, it’s the sixth best-selling small SUV in Australia.

ST+
Engine
The 2021 Nissan Qashqai is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 106kW of power and 200Nm of torque.
The base ST is available with either a six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT), while all other models have the CVT as standard.
All Qashqai models are front-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy
The 2021 Nissan Qashqai manual uses 7.7L/100km on the ADR combined city and highway cycle, while the CVT version is more efficient, requiring just 6.9L/100km.
All models run on 91RON regular unleaded fuel and have a 65L fuel tank.
Dimensions
The 2021 Nissan Qashqai measures 4394mm long, 1595mm tall, 1806mm wide, and has a 2646mm wheelbase.
The Qashqai’s boot has a luggage capacity of 430L with the rear seats up, and 1598L when they’re folded down.
The Qashqai starts at 1343kg for the base ST with a manual transmission, and tops out at 1429kg for the range-topping Ti.
Servicing and Warranty
In addition to a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, the 2021 Nissan Qashqai is offered with capped-price servicing.
The first six services are capped at $226, $309, $236, $435, $245 and $334, or an average of $297.50 per service.
Servicing is required every 12 months or 10,000km, whichever comes first.
Safety
The 2021 Nissan Qashqai has an ANCAP safety rating of five stars from 2017.
That rating was based on a frontal offset score of 15.56 out of 16, a side impact score of 16 out of 16, whiplash and pedestrian protection ratings of Good and Acceptable, respectively, and an overall score of 36.56 out of 37.
All Qashqai models come equipped with the following safety equipment:
