The Nissan Patrol Nismo is a Middle East-exclusive model that mixes out-there styling with carry-over mechanicals.
Under the bonnet there’s a 5.6-litre V8 generating 319kW and 560Nm.
That’s an increase of 21kW over the standard mill, but unchanged from the pre-facelift Patrol Nismo.
The Patrol Nismo rides on two-tone 22-inch alloy wheels, and Bilstein shock absorbers. Other upgrades include a new roof spoiler, and larger brakes.
While the four available paint colours – white, black, grey and silver – aren’t exactly the world’s most exciting choices, there’s no escaping the car’s attention-grabbing styling changes.
Up front there’s a redesigned bumper with prominent air intakes, and a honeycomb mesh insert for the grille. Red trim graces the front splitter, side sills and rear diffuser.
Out the back, the unqiue rear bumper’s diffuser and LED fog lights are heavily inspired by Formula One design trends.
On the inside there’s a red and black colour theme with the seats retrimmed in a mixture of leather and faux suede, although it doesn’t look like there’s any extra bolstering.
Ahead of the driver is a steering wheel covered in faux suede and carbon-fibre trim.
Standard features include autonomous emergency braking, a digital rear view mirror, automatic high beams, wireless smartphone charging, USB-A and USB-C ports, and support for Apple CarPlay.
Although the Patrol Nismo is unlikely to ever reach our shores, the company is prepping a Warrior model with more aggressive styling and improved off-road performance.
