The next-generation C-Class wagon has been spied during cold weather testing in northern Europe, and despite its heavy disguise holds no great surprise.

Wagon fans rejoice, the next-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class has spied, albeit all rugged up for the Swedish winter.
While this wagon is covered from head to toe in camouflage, a sedan prototype spied a few weeks earlier was much more revealing.
Like generations before it, the new C-Class will take its styling cues from the latest S-Class. That means there will be slimmer headlights, smoother body surfaces, and thin tail-lights that stretch into the boot lid.
In terms of proportions and silhouette, the new C-Class wagon looks as though it won’t stray too far from today’s vehicle.
Under the skin, the new C-Class will feature a revised version of today’s MRA rear- and all-wheel drive platform.
We expect the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be offered with traditional turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, as well as mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid drivetrains.
Most controversially, the C53 AMG and C63 AMG models are said to be powered by four-cylinder hybrids.
Just as with the exterior, the cabin is expected to mimic the flagship S-Class, which features a piano black section sweeping up from the centre console to the dashboard and housing a large touchscreen infotainment setup that replaces most of the car’s physical buttons.
While a small-selling model in Australia, the C-Class wagon will make up a significant portion of sales in Europe.
