Two Gladiators have left the arena, while another has entered.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator range now opens with a Night Eagle variant, priced at $68,450 before on-road costs and replacing the $3000 cheaper Sport S introduced just four months ago.
UPDATE, 21/06/21 – Jeep has released details of the updated 2021 Gladiator range. We’ve updated this article and brought it forward.
The mid-range Overland has been axed, while the Rubicon has received some additional standard equipment.
The updated range is in showrooms now.
The Night Eagle uses the old Sport S and Overland’s Selec-Trac on-demand four-wheel drive system with heavy-duty Dana front and rear axles, though it includes a 4.10 rear axle ratio like the Rubicon.
Like the Sport S it replaces, it also includes standard autonomous emergency braking blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, LED headlights, and a reversing camera with front and rear parking sensors.
It receives the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system of the Rubicon, with satellite navigation and wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

All Gladiators are four-wheel drive but there are two different systems. The Night Eagle uses Jeep’s Selec-Trac on-demand system while the Rubicon upgrades to the Rock-Trac on-demand system.
Rock-Trac adds locking front and rear differentials and Fox Performance shocks, plus the ability to electronically disconnect the front stabiliser bar.
Both models use a 4.10 rear axle ratio.
