Toyota is recalling its Prius hatchback due to an issue with one of the safety systems.
“The pre collision system (PCS) software programming may cause a delayed application of the pre-crash brake assist function, resulting in a lower vehicle speed reduction,” the company says in its recall notice.
“A delay in the operation of the pre-collision braking feature may lead to an accident causing injury or death of vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to take it to a Toyota dealer for a free repair.
If you have any further questions, you can contact the Toyota Recall Helpline on 1800 987 366.
