Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled the 2019 GLE300d SUV to fix a problem with the second row seating.
The company says the wiring harness for the right-most second-row seat could be damaged if the seat is slid along its rails.
If the problem occurs, the side airbag may not deploy in a crash and the seatbelt warning may not function for that seat.
If the airbags don’t deploy, there’s an increased risk of injury for occupants in the right rear seat.
- A total of 62 cars are included in the recall
- A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
- The original recall notice is attached here
Mercedes-Benz will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
