Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall for 291 vehicles across the MY18 C-Class line-up over concerns affected vehicles could have incorrectly adjusted headlights.
“The deviation in the headlight adjustment may lead to a reduction or an enlargement of the illumination. In the case of headlights that are adjusted too low, the visual range during driving would be reduced. In the case of headlights that are adjusted too high, oncoming traffic could be dazzled,” the company says in its recall notice.
“Incorrect adjustment of the headlights may increase the risk of an accident, which could result in injury or death of vehicle occupants or other road users.”
