    2018-21 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ recalled

    Loose bonnet hinges in 22 Lamborghini Aventador SVJs may cause the bonnet to flip open or detach from the flagship supercar.

    The ACCC has put out an official recall for the 2018-21 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Coupe and SVJ 63.

    “The hood hinges may loosen and may not hold the hood closed. The hood may unlatch and flip open or detach from the vehicle,” Lamborghini says in its recall notice

    “If the hood flips open or detaches from the vehicle, there is an increased risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.”

    • A total of 22 cars affected by this recall
    • Affected SVJ Coupe and SVJ 63 models were on sale between 1 November, 2018 and 31 December, 2020.

    Automobili Lamborghini SpA will be contacting all owners of affected vehicles.

    Once parts arrive owners will be able to arrange an appointment to replace the bonnet hinge screws.
