Peugeot Citroen Australia has issued a recall for its 2018-19 model-year Expert van over concerns about a potential fuel leak that could pose a fire hazard.
“The fuel supply and return pipes located under the body may become damaged over time due to relative movement between the pipes and the body guidance ribs,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If left unrepaired, diesel fuel may leak from the damaged pipes onto the ground, causing a potential fire hazard. This may cause injury or death of vehicle occupants, other road users or cause property damage.”
Owners of the affected Peugeot Expert vans will be contacted by Peugeot Citroen Australia, and advised to schedule and appointment with their preferred dealer.
