Nissan Australia has recalled the 2015 Navara ute to fix a problem with its child restraint system.
“The child restraint system (CRS) top tethers may not be strong enough to keep a child seat securely fastened and may break during an accident,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If the tethers break or the child seat is not securely fastened, the child may not be adequately restrained in their seat during an accident, which may result in serious injury or death to the child.”
Nissan Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
