    The 2012 BMW 1 Series is a Small Luxury offered in 5D hatchback, 2D coupe and 2D convertible body styles. Used prices in Australia typically range from $36,900 for the Base variant and topping out at $99,900 for the M.

    There are 9 variants of the 1 Series available in Australia and this generation went on sale in October of 2011.

    Engine options include 1.6L turbo petrol direct injection (125kW/250Nm), 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (105kW/320Nm), 3.0L petrol direct injection (160kW/270Nm), 2.0L petrol direct injection (115kW/200Nm), 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (225kW/400Nm) and 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (160kW/310Nm). Available with 8-speed automatic, 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic or manual transmissions. All variants feature rear-wheel drive.
