About the Lexus NX350H
Jodie purchased this Lexus NX350H new for $83,000 (including all on-road costs). Jodie would buy this car again because: “This car had met all my expectations. I think it is very good value for the price paid. It is my first SUV and I am very happy with the convenience provided by this type of vehicle. I have found my Lexus dealer to be very easy to deal with.”
How reliable has your car been? Tell us about any issues.
I have only recently purchased a vehicle, so can’t comment personally. However one of the reasons I bought it is that Lexus have a very good reputation for reliability which continues long after the warranty has expired.
When BMW wanted $1300 to replace the glovebox latch on my car which had only done 40,000km but was out of warranty I thought I would try another brand.
What do you think of the ownership experience with your car?
This experience has exceeded all my expectations and any previous experience. Lexus are known for their customer service, and it has been top shelf.
Our previous two cars were from Germany and we appreciate the more personal service we received at Lexus.
How has the purchase and aftercare experience been with your car?
Had to wait a long time (10 months) to get the car, but has been worth the wait. The car was purchased from Lexus in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
Anthony has been great to deal with and kept us up to date during the wait time.
Are you happy with the price and features of your car?
The car was expensive and I had high expectations. The features are beyond what I was expecting. I have particularly enjoyed the heated and cooled seats and the comfortable driving position. The interior has a luxurious feel and whilst obviously the exterior is a matter of taste it certainly appeals to me.
It is very well equipped with all the latest safety features including blindspot monitoring which I find very helpful in peak hour traffic. It also has a great heads up display.
What do you think of the performance and economy of your car?
I am really glad I went for hybrid option – it has been amazingly economical and very smooth. I have been getting around 6L/100km in what has mostly been peak hour inner city traffic.
The performance is perfectly adequate for all my needs.
What do you think of the technology in your car?
It has a large and clear infotainment screen, which all works well. One of the things that I really appreciate is that where some other manufacturers now have climate controls within the display, my Lexus still has separate dials for the driver and passenger temperature. I’ve been using the Apple CarPlay which links seamlessly.
I also like the quality feel of all the switches and steering wheel controls.
What do you think of the ride comfort and handling of your car?
Probably this is the best bit. It is very smooth to drive and the ride is excellent. I must admit most of the use has been around town, but I’m looking forward to trying it out over some country roads.
Overall I am thrilled with the purchase.
