    About the Volvo S60

B M purchased this Volvo S60 new with additional options for $70,000 (including all on-road costs). B M would buy this car again because: “Purchasing experience and ownership have been faultless. Volvo Cars Hobart have been excellent to deal with. Coming up to 30,000km now and the comfort and security the Volvo gives us on the road is second to none. A fantastic experience. “

How reliable has your car been? Tell us about any issues.

Within the 30,000km we have only had once issue which Volvo Cars Hobart was able to sort quickly. A small exhaust mount broke and was causing a knocking sound. Had heard of some people having issues with these mild-hybrid vehicles but we have no had a single issue regarding the drivetrain.

What do you think of the ownership experience with your car?

Fantastic. Volvo Cars Hobart have helped us with any enquiry.

There hasn’t been any major issues that weren’t sorted on the spot. Looking forward to purchasing another Volvo in a couple years. Possible a XC60 or maybe a EX60 when released.

How has the purchase and aftercare experience been with your car?

Volvo Cars Hobart were fantastic to deal with. The service team have been able to look after and sort and enquiries we have had since taking delivery of the vehicle. We are happy with the experience so far and will purchase again.

Are you happy with the price and features of your car?

When we were looking at purchasing the S60, we were also considering the Mercedes-Benz C300. Unfortunately when you put the S60 and C300 side by side on paper it was had to see where the extra $40,000 was going.

No AWD, no smart LED headlights, and no upgraded surround sound. Overall we found the finish inside the S60 to be better then the C300 too.

No shiny black plastics, the S60 just feels a little better put together. The C300 has all the technology and wow factor.

What do you think of the performance and economy of your car?

We were hoping the Mild-Hybrid technology was going to help with the fuel economy.

Unsure if it really makes a difference but over the 30,000km we are seeing a average of 7.4L per 100km. For a vehicle that would do at least 100km a day in mixed driving we find this pretty good. Considerably better than the Subaru Liberty owned a few years ago.

What do you think of the technology in your car?

We have been very happy with the technology inside the S60.

We were a little saddened that we missed out on the MY23 model update with the new Google System. However, we have heard about some issues with the new system on the early Google systems. Looking forward to getting that in our next Volvo in a couple of years time.

What do you think of the ride comfort and handling of your car?

So far we have been impressed with the ride in the S60. We found it a bit firm when the vehicle was new but it soon soften and took the edge off after a few thousand kilometres.

For a vehicle that blends Swedish luxury and still holds in own on the mountain road, we have found the slightly harder ride to be a good pay off.
