About the Kia Stinger
LOCKSTEP purchased this Kia Stinger used for $44,000 (including all on-road costs) in 2024. LOCKSTEP would buy this car again because: “Great car! Has looks, performance, all the bells and whistles of a luxury car for $20k less. The only thing I wish was a little better is the transmission in sport mode. It can downshift a bit harsh from third to second.”

How reliable has your car been? Tell us about any issues.
The car has been reliable so far. I did take it in to have it looked at since it downshifts harsher in sport than in other modes. It seems to be the case with the car as I’ve read it on countless forums.
What do you think of the ownership experience with your car?
It’s been a very short two months but I don’t have any complaints about it just yet.
I know they have been complaints about keys service but I have an experienced that yet so far everyone I’ve come in contact with has been pretty good.
Are you happy with the price and features of your car?
I feel I got a fair price on my car. It is the scorpion edition of the model, although I’m not sure how many they made. I am aware that it was a limited production and only made for the 2022 year I feel that the features I got in this car far exceed anything I’ve seen at the price point.
What do you think of the performance and economy of your car?
As far as performance goes, the car drives incredible. It’s very smooth and comfort very quick in sport and can be customised to any way I want in custom.
The car does require premium gas and does not get the greatest mileage per gallon.
What do you think of the technology in your car?
I think the technology in the car is outstanding. From all the safety features to the awesome stereo system. The heads up display is something I’ve never had in a car before and I really like it. The 10.25-inch infotainment screen is pretty great too.
What do you think of the ride comfort and handling of your car?
The car is extremely comfortable. I’m 6 foot, 200 pounds and fit in the car very comfortably.
Each of the different modes are completely different driving experience all of which are very comfortable the car handles very well even while turning at high speeds.
