Mazda Australia says it's open to replacing the recently discontinued Mazda 6 sedan and wagon with a new Chinese electric liftback.

Last updated Dec 18, 2024The new Mazda 6 is a medium-sized car offered in both 5D station wagon and 4D sedan body styles. Available in Australia from $36,290 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Sport variant and topping out at $55,685 for the 20th Anniversary.
There are 5 variants of the Mazda 6 available in Australia and this generation went on sale in January of 2025.
Engine options include 2.5L turbo petrol direct injection (173kW/420Nm) and 2.5L petrol direct injection (140kW/252Nm). All variants feature 6-speed automatic transmission. All variants feature front-wheel drive.
