Volvo Australia has recalled most of its 2007-2018 range to fix a problem with the steel cable connected to the seatbelts.
The S60, S80, V60, V60 Cross Country, V70, XC60, and XC70 are included in this recall.
According to the company, the flexible steel cable connected to the seatbelt on the outboard side of the front seats could fatigue and separate from the belt over time.
If the problem occurs, the seatbelt might not restrain passengers properly in an accident.
Volvo Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer when parts become available in October.
