The Tesla Cybertruck was supposed to cross seas, but can't even cross this river

Why did this Tesla Cybertruck get stuck crossing a river? Because it couldn't get up the other side.

It seems Tesla Cybertruck owners just don’t know how capable – or rather, incapable – their electric pickups are, going by this footage from the US.

A video uploaded to YouTube shows a Tesla Cybertruck which has driven into a river but is struggling to get back out, even with a run-up from one side to the other.

While the river isn’t deep enough for the Cybertruck to rely on its claimed 70cm wading depth, it’s causing enough traction problems to prevent the electric pickup from pulling itself out.

A number of online commenters also pointed out its long wheelbase and visually stiff suspension contributed to it getting beached on the way up the steeper bank.

Unfortunately the video cuts off before we see the end result, though its poster claims a Chevrolet Silverado soon turned up to help tow the Cybertruck out of the river.

Hopefully this serves as a lesson to all drivers that no matter what you own and how much you believe in it, physics wins.
