Suzuki Australia and Suzuki Queensland have recalled 5731 vehicles across the Swift, Swift Sport and Ignis model lines, due to a common fault which could cause the steering wheel to come loose.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering shaft nut may not be tightened to specifications. This may cause the steering wheel to become loose resulting in a loss of vehicle control,” the recall notices said.
“A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
