Subaru Australia is recalling 475 examples of its BRZ due to an issue with the rear tail light control circuit.
“Due to a potential design concern with the rear tail lights control circuit, the turn and hazard indicator lamps may not illuminate as intended,” said the company in its recall notice.
“If the turn and hazard indicators do not illuminate as intended, other road users would be unable to identify if the vehicle is turning or under hazard.
“This could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
If your vehicle’s indicator begins rapidly blinking in the instrument cluster, you should contact your local Subaru dealership to have your vehicle inspected and the work carried out, free of charge.
If you have further questions, you can contact Subaru Australia on 1800 226 643.
