Ram Trucks Australia has recalled 1201 examples of the 2500 pickup as a software fault could stop the stability control from working.
“Due to a software issue with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may fail. This may result in a loss of vehicle control,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.
“A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
If you own an affected Ram 2500, you should contact your preferred Ram dealer to have the ABS control module reprogrammed, free of charge.
You can find out more about the recall by phoning Ram Trucks on 1300 681 655.
