Australian Ram distributor American Special Vehicles (ASV) is recalling 644 examples of Ram 2500 and 3500 pick-ups due to a software issue with the anti-lock braking system (ABS).

This recall affects Ram 2500 and 3500 models sold between 2019 to 2022.

“Due to a software issue with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may fail without warning,” the company says in its recall notice.

“This may result in a loss of vehicle control.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you should contact your local/preferred authorised Ram dealer to schedule a free fix.

If you have any more questions you can contact Ram Trucks Customer Assist on 1300 681 792.
