Ram Trucks Australia has recalled 5916 examples of the DT-generation 1500 pickup due to a fault which can cause an anti-lock brake and stability control system failure.

“Due to a software issue with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may fail. This may result in a loss of vehicle control,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.

“A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
