The new-generation Porsche Panamera has gained a Turbo S E-Hybrid flagship, while a new GTS has become the most powerful non-hybrid variant.
First deliveries of these versions in Australia are expected to commence in late 2024.
Pricing for these models starts at $340,600 before on-roads for the Panamera GTS, and $486,100 before on-roads for the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. The latter is the most expensive Panamera variant to be offered to date.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid
The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is powered by a “further developed” 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 petrol engine that produces 441kW, and is assisted by an electric motor that’s integrated into the eight-speed PDK transmission and produces 140kW.
Total system outputs are 575kW of power and 1000Nm of torque, which is up 75kW and 150Nm on the previous-generation model. It also makes it the most powerful series-production Panamera variant to date.
A slightly modified version of this vehicle achieved a new record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Porsche test driver Lars Kern lapped the 20.8-kilometre circuit in 7:24.17 minutes, officially making it the fastest “top-class sedan with a combustion and hybrid engine”.
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid comes with a 29.5kWh battery pack that’s claimed to allow for up to 92km of electric-only driving according to NEDC testing.
The battery pack can also be charged from 0-100 per cent in two hours and 39 minutes when plugged in to an 11kW AC charger.
As standard the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid comes with the Porsche Active Ride suspension as standard. It’s powered by the 400V electrical system and allows the car to compensate for body movements and keep the car horizontal.
Like the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, the Turbo S E-Hybrid has Turbonite exterior finishes inside and out. There are also 21-inch centre-lock wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres that were “specially developed” for the Panamera
Other standard features include Porsche Ceramic Composite brakes with yellow calipers, rear-wheel steering, driving dynamics control systems, Bose sound system, HD Matrix LED headlights, head-up display, and an electric roll-up sun blind for rear side windows.
Porsche Panamera GTS
The Porsche Panamera GTS is the most powerful non-hybrid variant in the current range.
It’s powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 368kW of power. Porsche claims the Panamera GTS can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 3.8 seconds, and top speed is 302km/h.
As standard the Panamera GTS comes with dual-chamber two-valve air suspension with 10mm lower body and reinforced anti-roll bars.
There’s also a sports exhaust system that was “specially developed to create a powerful, emotional soundscape”.
On the outside there are black GTS logos, dark-tined HD Matrix LED headlights, 21-inch Turbo S centre-lock wheels finished in Anthracite Grey, and red brake calipers.
The Sport package is also standard which includes certain body elements being finished in satin-matt black.
Inside there’s a range of Race-Tex finishes, Bose sound system, Sport Chrono package with stopwatch and push-to-pass function, as well as adaptive sport seats with 18-way adjustment.
