Porsche Cars Australia has recalled the 2020 Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe to fix a problem with the rear axle trailing arm.

“The previous replacement of the rear axle trailing arm clamping nuts (as part of the recent recall REC-001635) may have caused a misalignment of the rear axle assembly,” Porsche says in its recall notice.

“This could result in excessive wear to the rear tyres, and may result in a sudden flat tyre and subsequent loss of vehicle control.”

    • A total of 70 vehicles are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Porsche will contact owners of the affected cars and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
