Porsche has added a more affordable hybrid option to its Cayenne Coupe range in Australia.

Priced at $151,600 before on-road costs, the Cayenne Coupe E-Hybrid undercuts the range-topping Turbo S E-Hybrid by around $140,000.

Power in the E-Hybrid comes from the combination of a 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol V6 engine and an electric motor, with combined outputs of 340kW and 700Nm.

The hybrid powertrain is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The 100km/h sprint takes a claimed 5.1 seconds, and pure-electric range is up to 37km on the strict WLTP test protocol.

That makes it 0.9 seconds faster to 100km/h than the base Cayenne Coupe, although the range-topping Turbo S E-Hybrid demolishes the same sprint in just 3.8 seconds.

As with the wider Cayenne Coupe range, the E-Hybrid includes a two-seat rear bench, panoramic glass roof, and an active rear spoiler standard.

It also includes a surround-view camera, privacy glass, auto-dimming mirrors, rear side airbags, lane-change assist, keyless entry and start, a head-up display, a memory driver’s seat, and DAB+ digital radio as standard.
