The BMW 4 Series range is set to get a facelift, with a pair of camouflage prototypes spied.
One of these is an M440i, which judging by its camouflage placement is receiving updates to its front and rear bumpers.
Changes to the headlights and tail lights are also likely.
The grille is also camouflaged on the M440i, which may indicate an update is in the works. The other spied 4 Series appears to wear the same grille as the current car, though this could be an early prototype.
It appears, however, that BMW won’t make any changes to the height of the grille.
Photos of the interior weren’t snapped however BMW has previously confirmed its 4 Series line up will receive its new BMW Curved Display as part of a running change this year.
This comprises a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system running on iDrive 8, positioned in the same wraparound assembly.
BMW has also confirmed it’s rolling out its new iDrive 8.5 with an over-the-air update to various BMW models, including the related i4, that are currently running iDrive 8.
It is yet to be confirmed if there will be any changes to the engine or powertrains at this stage.
According to Bimmerpost forum user yunguldyn, who claims to compile information from sources within BMW, the 4 Series update will enter production in March 2024.
An updated M4 will also reportedly enter production at the same time, with the 4 Series Gran Coupe following in July.
The update will reportedly bring new wheel choices, interior trims and paint colours.
