The driver of an Audi RS5 has tried their luck driving on the beach at Bribie Island in Queensland… and unsurprisingly, they got stuck.
Images of the Audi coupe were shared on the I got bogged at Bribie Island Facebook group over the Australia Day long weekend.
The driver reportedly got stuck at the Woorim access track on January 27, 2024.
In the images, the two occupants of the vehicle can be seen walking around it, with one even taking photos or video of the embarrassing incident.
A pair of recovery tracks can be seen next to the rear of the vehicle.
Sand build up can be seen inside the rims and all over the car suggesting the driver might have tried to get themselves out alone before stopping and asking for help.
One photo shows a Jeep Gladiator parked in front of the stuck coupe. It appears this vehicle may have extricated the RS5.
Based on the photos, the tracks appear to be quite churned-up and treacherous. The sand appears to be soft in the section where the Audi RS5 got bogged.
According to a registration check of the vehicle, it’s a 2017 Audi RS5 Coupe, which when new retailed for $156,000 before on-road costs.
It features a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 331kW of power and 600Nm of torque.
It has a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 3.9 seconds, however it took a lot longer than that to excavate the vehicle.
While the RS5 has all-wheel drive, it’s naturally not the kind of car you would want to take driving on the beach.
