Nissan Australia has recalled the 2014-2020 Juke SUV to fix a problem with its rear seats.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, when the rear seat back is placed into the upright position; the seat lock assembly may not lock,” Nissan Australia says in its recall notice.
“In the event of an accident or hard braking, the rear seat lock may not operate correctly. As a result seat occupants or items in the luggage compartment may not be restrained. This increases the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”
Nissan Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealers.
