Genesis Australia has recalled 138 vehicles across the G80 large sedan, GV80 large SUV and GV70 mid-size SUV model lines, due to a fault which can lead to critical vehicle information not being displayed on their digital instrument clusters.

“Due to a software issue, the instrument panel cluster may fail to display the visual seat belt warnings, vehicle speed, fuel level, engine status and other critical safety information,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.

“A loss of safety system warnings whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders.
