    More than 10,000 Kia Carnivals recalled

    Kia Australia has recalled its popular people mover to fix a problem with the powered sliding door on some models.

    Kia Australia has recalled 10,046 examples of the 2020-2023 Carnival people mover to fix a problem with its powered sliding door.

    “The Power Sliding Door system may not warn occupants while in operation,” Kia says in its recall notice.

    “If the vehicle occupant is unaware of the power sliding door system is operating, it may increase the risk of injury.”

    • A total of 10,046 vehicles are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here

    Kia Australia will contact affected owners and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
