Mini has revealed a new Multitone coloured roof option that’s available on its three- and five-door hatch, as well as the Mini Electric hatch.
This new gradient roof design can be added as a no-cost option when you choose the top-of-the-line Mini Yours trim level.
The Mini Yours also allows you to choose from various exterior paint colours, alloy wheels and interior colour schemes.
This Multitone roof is a new design for Mini as it incorporates a gradient between three colours.
At the front of the roof it’s painted in a dark blue called ‘San Marino Blue’, which transitions into a lighter shade called ‘Pearly Aqua’ in the middle.
Towards the rear of the roof the paint colour changes again as it transitions into ‘Jet Black’.
Mini has been able to create this new coloured roof option by using a new painting system that’s integrated into the automated production process at its Oxford plant.
The way this Multitone paint effect is achieved is by painting the light blue ‘Pealy Aqua’ paint first, then the darker ‘San Marino Blue’ paint second, and then finishing off with the ‘Jet Black’ paint.
Mini says that each Multitone roof that it paints has slight deviations due to the differing environmental conditions that the vehicle is located in.
Therefore, it can be said that every Multitone coloured roof is unique in a certain way.
The Multitone roof option can be combined with a number of different body paint colours which can create an interesting contrast between the roof and body sections.
For three- and five-door hatch models, this Multitone roof option can be paired with the following body paint colours:
For the Mini Electric hatch on the other hand, the Multitone roof option can be matched with the following colours:
The Mini Yours Multitone roof package includes the following standard features:
Pricing for the models with the Mini Yours Multitone roof package included is as follows:
All prices are drive-away.
This Multitone roof option isn’t yet available on other Mini models such as the Clubman and Countryman, but both are available with the traditional Mini Yours package.
