Mercedes-Benz Australia is recalling 6117 examples of the X-Class ute to fix an issue that may cause the rear axle radial shaft ring to be inadequately sealed, resulting in a potential oil leak.
This recall affects X-Class models produced between 2017 and 2019.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear axle radial shaft ring may not be sealed adequately,” said the company in its recall notice.
“This could cause an oil leak resulting in an unexpected reduction of braking performance.”
