    Mercedes-Benz Sprinter recalled

    Mercedes-Benz Vans has recalled the 2019-21 Sprinter van to replace a non-compliant spare wheel jack.

    Mercedes-Benz Vans has recalled the 2019-21 Sprinter to make its included jack compliant with Australian regulations.

    “The jack provided with the vehicle does not comply with the mandatory standard for vehicle jacks Trade Practices Act 1974 Consumer Protection Notice No. 1 of 2010 Consumer Product Safety Standard for Vehicle Jacks,” Mercedes-Benz says in its recall notice.

    “The jack base plate dimensions does not meet the requirements of the standard.”

    • A total of 302 vehicles are included in the recall

    Mercedes-Benz is contacting owners of the affected vehicles to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
