Mercedes-Benz is recalling 2012-2018 ML and GLE models due to an issue with their fuel pump control unit.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, water could come into contact with the fuel pump control unit. This could impair the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of power whilst driving,” the company says in its recall notice.
“A loss of power while driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road user and bystanders.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you can contact your preferred Mercedes-Benz dealership to schedule a repair, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Mercedes-Benz on 1300 300 896.
