Mercedes-Benz Australia is recalling 492 examples of its GLC mid-sized SUV due to a manufacturing issue that may cause the transmission wiring to contact the front driveshaft.
This recall affects GLC300e plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants produced between 2020 and 2022.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the transmission wiring may have been routed incorrectly and may contact the front driveshaft,” said the company in its recall notice.
“This may result in an unexpected loss of traction.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
