Mercedes-Benz is recalling 17 examples of certain GLC, EQC and E-Class models due to faulty electrical connectors of the side crash sensors.
This fault is limited to GLC, EQC and E-Class models from the 2020 model year.
“The electrical connectors of the side crash sensors may not meet manufacturing specifications,” the company says in its recall notice.
“These sensors are used to determine when to deploy the airbags in the event of an accident. If the sensors do not operate as designed, it may result in a delay in the operation of the airbags.”
