Mercedes-Benz Australia has launched a pair of new Night Edition models, this time based on the all-electric EQA and EQB SUVs.

To be offered “in strictly limited numbers at this stage”, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQA250+ and EQB250+ Night Editions sport a number of dark-themed styling enhancements and specification additions for no extra cost over the current base pricing for the standard 250+ EQA and EQB.

Highlights include high-gloss black exterior accents for the front and rear aprons, as well as the side panels, mirror caps, belt-line and window-line trim strips, and roof rails.

Both models also score 20-inch multispoke light-alloy wheels in high-gloss black instead of the standard machined finish, with high-sheen rim flange.

Pricing starts from $85,800 before on-road costs for the EQA250+ Night Edition and $90,000 before on-roads for the EQB250+ Night Edition, meaning both special editions undercut the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles, and are therefore exempt from the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) when purchased via a novated lease.

Both models will be available to order from today (January 23, 2025) in “strictly limited numbers”, with the EQA250+ Night Edition in Cosmos Black metallic paint said to be even more exclusive as it will be “exclusively available online for one month following this date”.

The 250+ designation means these Night Editions are both powered by a 140kW/385Nm electric motor driving the front axle only, hooked up to a 70.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Mercedes-Benz quotes driving range of 578km for the EQA250+ and 564km for the EQB250+ – though both are based off the more lenient NEDC test cycle.
