Jaguar has dropped two variants from its least popular SUV line-up, as it gears up for an electric-only line-up by 2025.
“The four-model [E-Pace] line-up has been reduced to a two-model line-up as we move from 23MY to 24MY,” a spokesperson from Jaguar told CarExpert.
Jaguar has removed the entry-level E-Pace R-Dynamic S P250 and flagship R-Dynamic 300 Sport from its 2024 range.
The brand has sold only 24 examples of its E-Pace SUV so far in 2023, which is a 86.1 per cent drop compared to the same time last year. It’s worth noting supply across the Jaguar Land Rover line-up has been tight for some time now.
Pricing for the remaining E-Pace range has been increased, and now starts at $78,250 before on-road costs (+$3987) for the R-Dynamic SE P250, while the R-Dynamic HSE P250 is $83,450 before on-road costs (+$5273).
Both models now receive the black exterior pack, a metal boot lip scuff plate, and an interactive driver display as standard.
The R-Dynamic SE P250 now comes with 12-way driver memory and 10-way passenger heated electric front seats, and a rear central armrest.
Jaguar now includes 16-way heated and cooled electric driver memory front seats with two-way manual headrests and heated rear seats with centre armrest, Ebony Suede cloth headlining, and premium cabin lighting in the R-Dynamic HSE P250.
The 2024 E-Pace range will only offer one engine option, which is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 183kW of power and 365Nm.
It will no longer offer its more powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produced 221kW of power and 400Nm from the E-Pace R-Dynamic 300 Sport.
Jaguar has sold 279 vehicles between January to July 2023. Its best-selling model is the F-Pace with 138 deliveries.
The E-Pace currently holds 1.5 per cent market share within its VFACTS segment.
It has been outsold by the Audi Q3 (549 units/30.4 per cent market share), Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class (325 units and 18 per cent market share) and the Volvo XC40 (267 units/14.8 per cent market share) so far this year.
