Jaguar Land Rover has recalled 36 examples of the 2020-2022 I-Pace electric SUV to fix a problem with the windscreen defroster.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the high voltage coolant heater (HVCH) may not operate as intended. If this occurs, the vehicle occupant may not be able to defrost the windscreen and may lead to poor visibility for the driver,” the recall notice says.
“Poor visibility will potentially increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users. The vehicle is not compliant with Australian Design Rule (ADR 42/05) – Demisting of Windscreen.”
Owners are being asked to contact their nearest Jaguar Land Rover dealership to arrange a free fix.
