German tuning company Manhart has revealed its latest high-performance creation based on the sportier-looking Nissan Patrol Nismo.
Dubbed the Manhart PT 650, this modified Nissan Patrol has been designed specifically for the Middle East – and isn’t expected to be offered in Australia at all.
One of the highlights of this modified Nissan Patrol Nismo is a supercharger kit that helps boost outputs of the 5.6-litre V8 engine to 485kW of power and 600Nm of torque.
The regular Patrol’s naturally-aspirated V8 produces 298kW and 560Nm, which is 187kW and 40Nm less.
In addition to the supercharger kit, there’s a full cat-back exhaust system with a 200-cell sports catalytic converter for an “improved soundtrack”.
On the outside the Manhart PT 650 is largely based on the Nissan Patrol Nismo, which is distinguishable thanks in part to its body kit and Nismo badge in the grille.
The modified Patrol has been lowed to “enhance its stance” and rides on humongous 24-inch forged alloy wheels. There’s also an exterior decal set.
On the inside there’s a reupholstered cabin with leather and Alcantara materials finished in black and gold. There’s also a set of “individual chosen accents” that help “finish off the extravagant package”.
Speaking of wild Nissan Patrols, Australian engineering firm Premcar has confirmed it’s developing a ramped-up version of the Patrol for the local market.
Dubbed the Patrol Warrior, it’s expected this Australian-market model will be conceptually similar to its rugged Navara Pro-4X Warrior and Navara SL Warrior siblings.
The 2023 Nissan Patrol Warrior will feature wheel, tyre and suspension upgrades – but unlike the Manhart PT 650 the naturally-aspirated V8 engine will be unchanged.
This is despite a recent teaser image showing what look like Mercedes-AMG G-Class-style side-exit exhaust tips.

Nissan and Premcar have said the “carefully considered and locally tuned” modifications will deliver a Patrol with more ground clearance, a wider stance, and better ride and handling – all tested here in cohesion.
Premcar’s development program is expected to take around 12 months to complete and will involve additional recruitment, expansion and investment.
Despite high fuel prices, the Nissan Patrol has been breaking sales records this year, partly due to LandCruiser 300 supply constraints and partly due to strong demand for vehicles that can tow big caravans and things of that ilk.
Australian-spec Nissan Patrol Ti-L
The Y62-generation Patrol has been on sale since 2014 and is targeted at the Middle East with its petrol engine.
It currently starts at $82,160 before on-road costs locally for the Ti, and extends to $95,115 before on-road costs for the Ti-L.
