Honda Australia is recalling 5053 examples of its CR-V and Civic because the tint applied to the front side windows may be too dark.
This recall affects CR-V and Civic models produced between 2021 and 2022.
“Honda Genuine accessory window tint applied to the front (door) side windows do not meet specifications and may be too dark and reduce visibility,” said the company in its recall notice.
“Reduced visibility will potentially increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll receive a letter advising you to take your vehicle to a Honda dealer to have the front door window tint removed and refunded.
If you have any further questions, you can call the Honda Customer Care Team on 1800 804 954.
