GWM Australia has launched a competitively priced capped-price servicing program for its first electric vehicle (EV) in Australia.
The first five services for the GWM Ora, known as the Funky Cat or Good Cat in some markets, are capped at $99. Logbook servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, whichever occurs first, and can be undertaken at any one of GWM’s 84 Australian dealers.
This brings the total service cost for the first five years or 60,000km of GWM Ora ownership to $495.
In terms of its competitors, servicing a BYD Atto 3 for the first 60,000km can cost up to $748 for owners that drive roughly 20,000km a year.
Servicing an MG ZS EV on the other hand, which has intervals of 24 months or 40,000km, costs a total of $1048 for the first four years or 80,000km of ownership.
We’ve reached out to GWM Australia in regard to what service pricing for the Ora will look like beyond the first five capped-price services. We’ll update this story once we hear back.
The following is a detailed breakdown of what is inspected and replaced at every logbook service for the GWM Ora:
The GWM Ora is covered by a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty. It also has an eight-year high-voltage battery warranty.
In addition, the GWM Ora comes with five years of roadside assistance.
