GWM has re-introduced the Vanta nameplate to its Haval H6 lineup, available now with a sharper drive-away price.
Priced at $36,990 drive-away, the Vanta is based on the front-wheel drive H6 Ultra. For an extra $1000, it adds unique exterior elements like a black grille and black 19-inch alloy wheels.
The Vanta was last offered as a limited edition of the Haval H6 in 2022, and while it was also based on the Ultra then it was available in both front- and all-wheel drive variants.
The key difference this time is the price, which is now $3000 cheaper than the old front-wheel drive version.
However, it’s still the most expensive petrol-powered member of the Haval H6 lineup, with the Ultra AWD disappearing from price lists.

In addition to the new grille and wheels, the Vanta is available in four colours: Hamilton White, Burgundy Red, Blue Sapphire, and Golden Black.
All bar Hamilton White command an additional premium of $495.
Like the Ultra it’s based on, the Vanta uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 150kW of power and 320Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels only.
Its unique features are in addition to the Ultra’s standard features, which include:
