Cupra’s most popular model in Australia, the Formentor SUV, has received financing and drive-away pricing discounts as part of the Spanish brand’s Obsesión sales event.

The offer covers three variants of the model year 2024 (MY24) range.

From now until March 31, the base Formentor V is now available for $47,990 drive-away nationwide, marking a saving of $8500 compared to its typical drive-away price of $56,490, and pushing it below the smaller Leon hatch.

The Formentor VZe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) has been discounted by a further $5825, however, drive-away pricing varies between each state and territory.

The top-spec VZx, meanwhile, has been treated to a finance deal of $145 per week at a zero per cent comparison rate on a 36-month loan, based on a $67,790 drive-away price, with the requirement of a 20 per cent deposit.

A 20 per cent deposit on that $67,790 drive-away price works out to $13,558, with owners given the option to pay a final fee of $31,687 to retain their vehicle for a total repayable amount of $54,232.

The base Formentor V is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 140kW of power and 320Nm of torque. Power is sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels, giving it a claimed 0-100km/h time of 7.1 seconds.

Second up is the non-discounted VZ, followed by the VZe PHEV. The latter is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine mated with a 12.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack, providing 180kW of power and 330Nm of torque.

It utilises a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, sends drive to the front wheels only, and has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 7.0 seconds.

At the top of the range is the Formentor VZx, which is fitted with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 228kW of power and 400Nm of torque. With power sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels, the VZx can get from 0-100km/h in as little as 4.9 seconds.

The Obsesión campaign also brings savings for the electric Born hatch, with prices slashed by as much as $16,500 depending on your location.
